Announcements, updates and expert insights
They are not the invention of one company, but the product of a rapidly changing transport industry and societal change, driven by organisations such as CoMoUK and the Campaign for Better Transport
We recognised this shift early. That’s why in 2021 we began developing our modular SuperHUB design — a system that could grow and adapt to meet changing passenger needs, and crucially, support the creation of mobility hubs.
Modular and scalable: flexible enough to be delivered as a small 2-bay shelter, and proven in large-scale interchanges of 16 bays — with the capability to go further as required.
Accessible and inclusive: step-free entry, tactile features, clear wayfinding, and compliance with DfT Inclusive Mobility guidelines.
Smart-ready: able to incorporate real-time passenger information, digital displays, smart lighting, and connectivity features.
Since December 2023, over 65 SuperHUBs have already been installed across the UK — from Oxfordshire to Swindon, Bedfordshire to Kent. This is not a concept — it’s a proven, delivered design already serving passengers every day. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________
Externiture didn’t invent mobility hubs. But our Mono SuperHUB design, proven in the field, is ready to help councils and operators deliver them.
